The American variety is stocky, with a rounded body and head, and larger eyes, cheeks, and feet.
The accepted coat colors in Burmese Cats depend on the registry the cat is registered with. The CFA accepts only brown, blue, chocolate, and lilac Burmese Cats. Other coat colors have a limited recognition: red, cream, cinnamon, fawn, caramel, apricot; brown, chocolate, lilac, fawn, caramel, and blue tortoiseshell.
